The Altus Police Department has two Detectives that are assigned the duties of investigating cases involving Child Abuse and/or Sex Crimes. They are Captain Mike Turner and Det. David Doughty.

Capt. Turner is the supervisor of the Altus Police Department Detective Division and divides his time between investigative and administrative duties. Capt. Turner joined the Altus Police Department in 1992, and has been assigned to the Detective Division since 1995.

Capt. Turner currently serves as President of the Jackson County Child Protection Team.

Det. Doughty joined the Altus Police Department in 1998 as a patrol officer. In 2005 he was promoted to the detective division. Det. Doughty currently serves on the Jackson County Child Protection Team.

Child Pornography, Internet Crimes Adainst Children, Exploitation of Elderly, Indecent Exposure, Molestation, Physical Child Abuse, Sexual Child Abuse, Rape, Sexual Assaults, Stalking, Statutory Rape.
